As part of the executive team at YUDU, he played a key role in a major strategic pivot: transforming the business from a digital publishing platform into a leading crisis communications solution.
Over three years, YUDU launched a new product, won multiple awards, and secured clients in highly regulated sectors, including the NHS and FCA.
Central to that shift was a programme of targeted events - creating space for industry professionals to learn, ask questions, and share experiences.
These events helped position YUDU as a trusted voice in a complex, competitive market, while fostering honest conversations that others weren’t creating space for.

EXECUTIVE
James was part of the executive team at YUDU, leading the sales and marketing function and driving a strategic pivot from digital publishing into crisis communications.
By identifying and shaping stories that resonated with prospects, he helped win clients in highly regulated sectors, including the NHS and FCA.

PUBLISHED WRITER
After YUDU, James focused on creative work as an internationally published children’s author and illustrator, with an animated series in development alongside BAFTA-winning studio, Sixteen South.
Writing for children demands clarity, empathy, and precision - skills that are often missing from business communication.
James brings that same discipline to his work: cutting through jargon, simplifying complex ideas, and helping businesses speak in a way people actually understand.
